FELINE SENIOR CARE & GERIATRIC LOGIC
Preserving Dignity: Hidden Pain, Accessibility, and Kidney Support.
Cats are masters of disguise, especially when it comes to aging. Unlike dogs who may limp, a senior cat suffering from arthritis simply stops jumping to their favorite window perch. What looks like 'laziness' is often silent pain. As your cat ages, the high-sided litter box becomes a hurdle, and the cold floor becomes unbearable for stiff joints.
In this wing of the library, we focus on Geriatric Adaptation. We cover the logic of Accessibility (using ramps and low-entry litter boxes), the critical battle for Kidney Health (hydration strategies to fight CKD), and Assisted Grooming (helping them when they can no longer reach their lower back). We believe that with the right modifications, you can give your cat comfort and dignity well into their late teens.
How to Navigate This Section: We have organized this library into three focused pillars to help you manage this stage.
Scroll down to explore:
Mobility & Accessibility: Replacing jumping with climbing (stairs/ramps) and switching to low-entry litter boxes.
Kidney Defense (Hydration): Strategies to increase water intake and manage the common threat of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD).
Comfort & Maintenance: Heated beds for arthritic joints, assisted grooming for matted fur, and managing cognitive decline (yowling).

A Personal Note
I’m building this ecosystem by hand, piece by piece. Since it’s just me behind the blueprints, I’m always open to hearing your concerns and evolving this design with your feedback. As we grow, I’m planning to add a dedicated Q&A section to help tackle the specific logic of our pets' lives.
All I ask is that you bring those words with kindness. Let’s keep this community as respectful as the animals we love.
Thank you so much 😊
